Member Loan Payment Assistance

Financial assistance is available to Star One members during difficult times.

Loan Payment Assistance

Star One Credit Union's assistance is available to members impacted by COVID-19 with their Star One loan payments.*

We may be able to provide temporary assistance with your loan payments by providing deferred payments, or extend your currently deferred loan payments, up to 90 days, for Consumer and Real Estate Loans.**

Requests for extending loan payment deferrals will be asked to provide additional documentation as evidence of financial impact (for example: paystubs, Furlough letter, Unemployment Award Letter).

* This program is not offered for student loans. Please contact University Accounting Services at 800-723-2210 for information about forbearance offered for student loans.

** Loan must be current or less than 30 days delinquent to qualify for this program. If your deferment request includes a real estate loan, Star One will mail you a Loan Forbearance Agreement Form within 30 days.

Payment Deferment application:

I understand that by deferring my loan payment, interest will continue to accrue on my outstanding loan balance during this time and the maturity date of my closed-end loan(s) will be extended.

By submitting this form, I agree to amend the payment terms of my credit agreement with Star One as disclosed in this notice and authorize Star One to defer my loan(s) payment obligation. Except as disclosed in this notice, all terms and conditions of my Credit Agreement(s) will remain the same.

Loans must be current at the time of the payment deferment request.

Loans paid weekly skip four payments. Loans paid bi-weekly skip two payments. Loans paid monthly skip one payment.

Note: If you are using our third-party "Pay From an Outside Account" service (ACI) to make payments on your Star One loan, or if you have a current Scheduled & Recurring Transfer set up in Star One Online or Mobile Banking (or at another financial institution), please log into each respective system to suspend/cancel your payments.

Scam and Fraud Alert

Remember that Star One employees will never call you to verify or ask for your personal information.

Providing your personal information, such as card PINs, online banking credentials or one-time passcodes, to anyone may make you responsible for any fraudulent activity that happens on your Star One accounts.
